Y Type Strainer

The Y Type Strainer is the most common and economical type of filter for permanent fluid or gas applications. Thanks to its compact construction, its lightweight and its easy access for rapid cleaning, it is used for many generally standard system applications. Permanent filter, straight line, suitable for filtering fluids in either the liquid state (water, seawater, petroleum and its derivatives) or the gaseous state (gas, air, chemical products) through a perforated plate filter element placed perpendicular to the direction of flow. Obtained by casting in sand casts, it is available in all standard materials (Carbon steel WCB Stainless Steel CF8M) and on specific request by the customer in non-standard materials (Duplex S31803, Super Duplex S32750, Inconel, Hastelloy, Conifer, etc.). The standard equipment includes a screen suitable for high pressures, which is easy to maintain and replace and capable of filtration of more than 300% of the inlet area.

  • Design – ASME /ANSI B16.34 & API 602
  • Material Pre-Temp Rating– ASME / ANSI B16.10
  • End Flange – ASME / ANSI B16.5
  • Test – API598/API6D
  • Screwed Ends: ASME B1.20.1
  • Size: ½” up to 24“(DN 15 up to DN 600)
  • Pressure Rating: ASME 150# 300# 600# 900#
  • Materials:  Carbon Steel, Low-Temperature Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex Stainless Steel, Super Duplex Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloys, Nickel Aluminum Bronze, Hastelloy, Inconel Etc.
  • End Connection: Flanged RF, RTJ, FF & Threaded

PFA Lined Y Type Strainer

Y Type

SPC PFA lined strainers meet the highest requirements of the chemical industry where it’s important to ensure high resistance to corrosion under severe working conditions. The PFA heavy-duty lining prevents any damage even if aggressive and permeating fluids circulate inside the strainer. The Y strainers can be installed vertically or horizontally and are suitable for connection with flanges according to DIN EN 1092-1 or ANSI B 16.5  150/300 class.

  • Material Pre-Temp Rating– ASME / ANSI B16.10
  • End Flange – ASME / ANSI B16.5
  • Size: ½” up to 12“(DN 15 up to DN 300)
  • Pressure Rating: ASME 150#
  • Materials: PFA Lined
  • End Connection: Flanged

Basket Type Strainer

Basket Type

SPC Basket type strainer comes with a Permanent filter type, offering a larger filtering surface area than other filters, ensuring minimal loss of pressure even at high flow speeds. It has a greater capacity for accumulating particulate and is recommended for the low ratio of service periods to maintenance interventions. Comprising a cylindrical body with connecting flanges arranged perpendicularly to the filter element, its filter element consists of a rolled perforated sheet. Filter suitable for high pressures, easy to maintain and replace. The standard equipment includes a screen suitable for high pressures, which is easy to maintain and replace and capable of filtration of more than 300% of the inlet area.

  • Body Type – Fabricated and Casted
  • Design – ASME /ANSI
  • End Flange – ASME / ANSI B16.5
